You will need a Children's Bible to tell these stories:
  • David and Jonathan (1 Samuel 18-20)
  • Mary and Martha (Luke 10)
  • Peter denies Jesus (Mark 14:27-31, Mark 14:66-72)
  • Jesus calls his disciples (extracts from Luke 5 and 6)
Format: Text

>Throughout the Reflections

Use some music to provide a gentle but positive background for starting the reflection, e.g:

Friends will be friends - Queen
You've got a friend - James J Taylor or Carole King or McFly
You're my Best Friend - Queen

Songs to sing with the children e.g. (from Someone's Singing Lord, pub. A&C Black):

I have seen the golden sunshine (No.6)
When I needed a neighbour (No.35)
